Hello, I’m Nadine, the artist behind Second Best Space and Second Best Zine. My journey into the arts began with a brief study in art history, which quickly turned into a passion for hands-on creation and visual storytelling. I transitioned to design, working for five years in the field of visual communication before dedicating myself fully to my own art practice.

My work focuses on conceptual themes, often addressing the nuanced ways art can confront societal taboos. Inspired by Simone de Beauvoir’s The Second Sex, the “Second Best” concept reflects my exploration of gender inequality—a theme central to my work and my voice as an artist. Through my pieces, I aim to shed light on the disparities that shape our experiences and perspectives, creating a space for reflection and dialogue.
